GraminX

Systemic Herbicide

Clethodim is the active ingredient contained in GraminX and is a systemic herbicide which is rapidly absorbed and translocated from treated foliage to the root system and growing parts of the grass plant where it operates as a fatty acid biosynthesis inhibitor via inhibition of acetyl CoA carboxylase (ACCase).

GraminX can be applied with conventional ground application equipment such as tractor mounted sprayers or knapsack sprayers and care must be taken to ensure good coverage of the weeds.

Ensure thorough coverage of the weeds by applying at least 150 litres of spray mixture per hectare and it is essential to add Methos to the spray mix to ensure effective absorption of the substance. The spray mixture can be applied over the top of the tree crop since clethodim is completely selective and will only kill grass weeds. An alternative herbicide would need to be employed to control broadleaf weeds.

Before applying GraminX it is advisable to wait until the majority of the grass weeds are within the optimum stages for control as mentioned on the product label. Since GraminX has a limited soil residual action, the weeds to be controlled must have emerged before applying GraminX.

Rain or irrigation within 1 hour after a GraminX application may necessitate a second application.

Kindly refer to the product label for more information and safety precautions.
