systemic, oil in water emulsion concentrate herbicide

Aminox is a systemic, oil in water emulsion concentrate herbicide for the control of woody plants as listed for forestry, grass pastures, conservation and industrial areas.

Triclopyr is a selective systemic herbicide, rapidly absorbed by the foliage and roots and then
translocated throughout the plant. Triclopyr accumulates in the meristematic tissue where it induces auxin-type responses.
Aminopyralid is a synthetic auxin causing epinasty, followed by necrosis. Systemic, foliar herbicide, rapidly absorbed by leaves and roots.

Most woody plants will be killed or seriously injured by direct exposure to aminopyralid / triclopyr butoxy ethyl ester, although there is significant range sensitivity among species. Control of vegetation using aminopyralid / triclopyr butoxy ethyl ester may potentially have impacts on non-target species. Impacts can be avoided by ensuring that applications are targeted as intended, by identifying the best method of application, ensuring adequate buffers and avoiding issues such as spray drift.

Aminopyralid is moderately persistent in soil and has a threshold for concern with respect to bioaccumulation. Triclopyr butoxy ethyl ester is non-persistent in soil (no data for water) and there is a threshold for concern with respect to bioaccumulation.

Triclopyr butoxy ethyl ester has a low toxicity to bees while aminopyralid has a moderate toxicity to bees so care must be taken to ensure that the usage of triclopyr triethylamine salt does not directly or indirectly harm bees.

Very effective as a Foliar application on Acacia mearnsii (Black Wattle), Solanum mauritianum (Bugweed), Acacia cyclops (Red eye), Acacia saligna (Port Jackson willow), Chromolaena odorata (Triffid weed), Lantana camara (Lantana), Acacia melanoxylon (Blackwood) are some of many species which are very effectively controlled by Aminox.

Use Aminox only on actively growing plants, up to 2 metres in height, with full leaf cover. Rain 3 hours after application will have no effect on efficacy provided the spray has dried on the target plants.
